The perceived quality is definitely a competitive advantage: along with the design, the surface appearance is the first impression of quality that can bring a desire in one’s mind.
In production, the appearance quality control tends to be too subjective, however, as it is usually entrusted to human inspectors.
To replace the inspection based on tactile and visual feelings, the final objective is to determine the relevant physical parameter and the associated technology.

Ondulo, the new generation vision.

The technology is based on the deflectometry principle, optical contactless solution for the control of Class A surface quality.
Delivering quantitative measurements in a metric scale, the Ondulo technology classifies the appearance quality and correlates well the results with the human inspection.
Ondulo detects and characterizes the full range of appearance defects for shape (low frequencies), waviness (medium frequencies), roughness (high frequencies) and micro-defects (porosity, pit, dust).
